Hi there – welcome to a new episode of our blog. After our little vaccination trip back home we arrive safely at Corfu Airport and head straight back to the campsite where we see Rosie standing on the lawn close to the reception like nothing ever happened. It feels good to be reunited with our friends as well, who of course kept an eye on our mobile home while we where away. Welcome back to our blog and hello to our first greek island: Corfu! The ferry ride from Igoumenitsa to Corfu is only 1.5 hours, but still we enjoy being on the water and breathing in a fresh sea breeze along the way. After leaving the ferry in in the harbour we take a quick picture of Rosie, which just looks so tiny next to the ferry (see Blog Ep. 16). Kalí méra & welcome back to our blog! After the successful border crossing into Greece we head into the direction of Thessaloniki. First to-do is grocery shopping and we find a well-known supermarket, which is everywhere around Europe: Lidl. With astonishment we note that vegetables and bread are sold in supermarkets, one of the things you consider as normal at home but which get your attention again while travelling. Hi there! Thank you for reading our blog. After our first drug sweep experience at the albanian – north macedonian border we are looking for a campsite because it seems that direct access to the water in the area where we arrive is only possible at an official campsite. Kind of randomly we select „Camping Lakeside“ close to the village of Radožda and park our cars a couple of meters from Lake Ohrid. It is already dark when we arrive here and so the full beauty of the place is only revealed to us the next morning. Welcome back to the blog. After spending a couple of nights at the cosy valley spot just below the village of Theth we pack up and continue the last stretch of the path. We think we are in for a smooth ride but the last 30 minutes of the track require our full attention. On top of some large rock steps we need to pass a couple of narrow passages. This last stretch of track (or the first if you are coming from Theth) is frequented by quite a lot of vehicles transporting visitors to the near-by Blue Eye hike starting point.
